Using Common Idioms

Over the time, GUI designers developed sets of common idioms for GUI applications. They should be used by you, to make your application easy to use for people which are used to these idioms.

These idioms change with platform. A Unix (motif) GUI looks and behaves differently then a Ms-windows GUI, or a web GUI.
