Dedicated Vs. Non-Dedicated Workstations Some applications put their workstation in a dedicated mode. A good example is computer games, dedicated control workstations and the like. If the application is not the only one for the device (e.g. runs on a PC), supply the user with a method to temporarily minimize the application without losing information (a 'pause' button plus a 'minimize' button, for example). If the application is not-dedicated - don't take over all screen space, so the user will be able to have easy cooperation (e.g. copy & paste) between your application and other applications.
