Page 6: Dealing with errors, or, the tale goes on

Errors? What is it?

The errors I encountered were quite simple to deal with.

It's just that building it requires time, since we're working with floppy, and not just running a file. I wonder if there is any configuration checker... if not, it's a good project to build one...



Also, there were parts where I did not know what to use. Some of the net examples were great, some were not. Some options remain unknown to me till this day.



When any error occures (ie - wrong package name; wrong flag; upper/lower case - after all, it's Unix) the system will halt, just as the reading of the ks.cfg file goes, and report some cryptic error, which by scrolling in, and trying to get the exact correct field, might be understood. Then you go back to your file, change it, mount the floppy, copy the file into it, and umount it, and try all over again.



Building this config file is frustrating.
